Such a great family outing....

LSU gymnastic!
Five years ago we began the tradition of attending LSU gym meets and it has become something we look forward to each year. The season is quite short but we enjoy every monent.
The first stop...
to see Mike the Tiger. It was dark and he was in the corner resting, guess it had been a long day for this big cat. eating, swimming, watching idiots come to you and make ridiculous noises, sleeping....having free reign in you multi million dollar enclosure must be so tiring, you know? William had to show him how loud he could roar! For some reason Mike was quite unimpressed, go figure.
William could not take his eyes off of Mike in the assembly center. He called him numerous times, of course he did not hear the five year old boy shouting from the top of his lungs, "hey, mon'." over the cheering crowd. Mike was in and out several times. Then, just as I had thought I would tell my sweet boy Mike wasn't going to come by us he walked past (without noticing William), went into the middle of the floor and turned right around and walked straight for W!!!William is screaming "hey, hey" and waving frantically. Mike walked directly to us, shook William's hand then left. Oh, what an exciting moment for this kiddo, I hope that Mike knows how happy he/she made him.
Typically LSU is a girls night with friends and other Mommies but last night John came with us and we were so glad he did. Now if you don't mind, I'm off to recover from a late night out:)
