He tries to figure it all out. He tells me "hoho fat"then tries to act like he is squeezing into something. I love his thought process.
He sticks his hand up to feel around...
all he finds is black soot and in his words asks if Santa gets dirty too. YUCK!
We have been going through these questions for the past monthly on pretty much a daily basis now. Some examinations of the fireplace last longer than others but again I love watching him try to figure it all out. Just this weekend as we pulled up to our house, he looked at the smoke stack on the roof and wanted to know more about Santa and that little hole."Mama, HoHo in?", he asked.
Just yesterday he grabbed two plates and put them by the fireplace, asked for a hot dog and told me "HoHo eat hot dog." He did not want to listen to me as I told him we must wait another year (apparently a long year) before the big guy comes back around. Maybe next year we will leave him a hot dog too.

Ha, Ha! Love it. Asa thinks Ho, Ho is coming everytime it snows. Which it's been so mild for us this winter too that we barely have enough snow to cover the grass! True it will be a long year to wait for Santa, but once it stops snowing Asa will not wonder when the big guy is flying in. You can't make your fireplace go away - LOL
