This month is the beginning of a new year.

Exciting new fresh starts for many.
For these boys there is no new fresh beginnings until they are found by loved ones.
This month both Benji and Bogdan turn two.
They should be with a mommy and daddy, family who love them. Blowing out candles. Balloons. Opening gifts. Happy Birthday...being sung to them. Digging into cake. Parties. Squealing with pure joy.

Instead they have been cast away into an orphanage because they were born with Down syndrome. They will be lucky to stay in their orphanage for a couple of more years b/c when they are five they will be dropped off at an institution where they will spend the rest.of.their. days.
I could not believe my eyes this morning when I checked on the boys, this is what I found......

Bogdan is described as easy going and charming. "everyone loves him" (ahem, wonder why....have you seen the smile that could melt your heart?) NO HEART CONDITION. social. lots of pictures. I sure hope his momma is reading...
Benji looks like he has grown from his last picture but I'm not quite sure how old it is (I have only known about this little fellow since the Angel Tree started). His description says he crawls, focuses on objects for long periods and vocalizes :) Such a doll.

Happy second birthday boys. My prayer for you is that your Mommy and Daddy find you soon and your next birthday is spent celebrating at home where you both belong.
